Quick links: Rant: There is little or no jargon on my website. I do not use 'ragbag' terminology such as Myo-fascial pain syndrome', Fibromyalgia, 'Old age' or the many other 'pseudo-medical' terms which merely serve to confound and mislead patients into thinking that just because a doctor has given their condition a name that they should be satisfied. My work consists of educating and getting people better using my hands-on expertise. Personally, I don't consider it to be a valid occupation to be paid good money simply to give a patient a dubiously effective drug for a dubiously diagnosed disorder or to send them to a therapist whose sole purpose seems to be filling in forms and not even touching the poor suffering patient. Nor do I consider it valid that just because a doctor can't diagnose a problem that they then conclude that the condition is psycho-somatic rather than admitting that they just haven't got a clue. I am appalled by the apparent lack of ability in the current medical profession to diagnose even emergency problems such as cancer and gall-bladder infections to name just a few cases that I have seen ignored and neglected by a medical profession whose main task seems to be to dismiss patients in trouble. This must cost the NHS dearly, but, of course the Medics can hide behind their shield of non-accountability and the patients are none the wiser until it is often too late. End of rant. Welcome. This website is all about my approach to musculo-skeletal problems of all sorts, how I can help you and how you can help yourself. It can enable you to see and work out how your own anatomy works and what happens when it goes wrong. Whether it is your ankle, sciatica, whiplashed neck, the knuckle on your left little finger or simply tired, tight muscles, call me for treatment on 07925 616 753. Who is Paul Manley?
For over 30 years I have been in practice treating the everyday problems that our bodies suffer from. I qualified from the European School of Osteopathy, Maidstone, Kent in 1980 after which I immediately began my professional career working alongside my Father who had been an Osteopath since 1960. I have been in practice since 1980 treating the everyday injuries that we are all prone to. In 2001, I chose to broaden my range of techniques and became a Physical Therapist.

Why come to see me?
How does my approach work? My treatment methods include deep massage of muscles and connective tissues. I also use manipulation and stretching of joints through precise passive stretching techniques. This reduces muscle spasm, increases mobility and creates a hetitlehier state in which damaged tissues can heal more efficiently. My methods are tailored to take into account the differences between each persons’ condition and sensitivity. I have developed a specialised techniques (Myo-articulation) which reverses deep tension patterns swiftly. When applied to the forearm muscles, for example, in cases of RSI and hand/elbow injuries, it is very effective. I have also developed specialised techniques (ECT) to relieve pressure on the central nervous system and undo 'fixations' between the skull bones which can result from direct head trauma and distortions of growth. Where? I run two back pain and RSI clinics, one in Holborn, Central London WC1, and the other in Maidenhead, Berkshire. See maps. When? On Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays in Maidenhead. On Tuesdays and Thursdays in Holborn, London WC1. See maps.
