A recent study by Microsoft has found that more than two thirds of workers now suffer from repetitive strain injury, costing £300 million in lost working hours.
The questions on this survey are designed with you in mind. They are derived from my normal case history questions.
Even if you have recovered from your condition, your information and experiences are very important to this study.
The diagrams in the survey will enable you to 'map' out your symptoms as well as to indicate their severity.
The survey covers most occupations and hobbies, past traumas, medical problems and a lot of other factors potentially involved in RSI. There is also a special section for musicians.
With nine pages of questions to be considered, don't be daunted, you will only have to answer a few of them. On average it takes less than 15 minutes. At the end of the survey you will be asked to say how long it took you to complete it, so please make a note of the time when you begin.
I have constructed this survey so that once you have started it you could leave to have dinner, rest or go hiking for for weeks so long as you don't close the browser, your info is retained.
If, however, you close the browser none of your data will be recorded.
Your responses and experiences are invaluable information. The data acquired will be useful for all sufferers and therapists and will give greater recognition to this disorder.
Once there are 1000 responses and data analysis is completed you will be sent a summary of the findings.
